The JAW Central Laboratory started as an in-house food testing facility to provide physical, chemical and microbiological analysis services relating to food quality for Mezzan’s food manufacturing subsidiaries. Initially created to provide services just for Mezzan Holding subsidiaries, the JAW Central Laboratory now provides services to commercial businesses.

JAW Central Laboratory offers testing on all food matrices, raw materials, processing and portable water, environmental and personal swabs, and hygiene monitoring. Microbiological parameters include all the normal spoilage and pathogenic organism, total aerobic count and a range of supplementary tests including organism identification and detection.  JAW Central Laboratory also has the latest technology to test molecular biology to detect the different animal species, in food and feed, which is important for quality assurance testing.
